Ms. Butler serves as the sponsored projects manager on a number of international and domestic grants at The George Washington University (GW), including the Social Mission Metrics Initiative. In this capacity, her principal responsibilities include managing internal operations and overseeing grant writing and reporting to funders. Ms. Butler has over 25 years of experience in graduate and postgraduate medical education at GW. She has held positions in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine coordinating required third and fourth year rotations for the medical students as well as working with house staff in both departments. Ms. Butler was executive associate to the Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2004-2010. In her current position, Ms. Butler works primarily in the area of health workforce. She also serves as the founding secretary and treasurer to the Beyond Flexner Alliance Board.
