Thomas Guterbock, PhD
Survey Methodologist

Dr. Guterbock serves as survey methodologist for the Social Mission Metrics Initiative. His principal responsibilities include leading and monitoring the development of the self-assessment instrument, overseeing data analysis of survey results, and identifying best practice approaches on social mission. He is Director of the Center for Survey Research, Professor of Sociology, and Research professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia, where he teaches survey research methods at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Guterbock is a leader in survey research, design and analysis with over 30 years of experience and has authored numerous publications on his survey development work.
